You assess students on clinical procedures and, for students assigned to you, write their
Clinical Performance Report at the end of the placement.
1. Your dashboard
- Reports awaiting your submission — the most urgent item. Each links
straight to the report form.
- My students — students assigned to you, with progress and an
Assess button. The filter defaults to their current semester;
switch it if you supervise a student in a different one.
- My recent assessments — what you have recorded lately.
Assignment only controls reports. You can assess any student on
any procedure — you do not need them assigned to you.
2. Finding a student
Three ways, fastest first:
- Scan their QR card — opens their record immediately.
- Find Student — your assigned students and anyone you recently assessed
are listed without typing. Search by name, student ID, email or phone.
- From your dashboard's My students list.
3. Recording an assessment
From a student's record choose a semester and press Assess. The page lists
every procedure in that semester, grouped as in the syllabus.
- Search for the procedure you supervised rather than scrolling — this is
the fastest route at the bedside.
- Filter by Not assessed or Retry to narrow the list.
- Tap a score from 1 to 5. The chosen score turns solid and enlarges.
- NA is available on optional procedures only.
- Add a remark from the list if useful. The wording is fixed by faculty agreement.
- The bar at the bottom counts how many you have scored. Press
Save assessments — nothing is stored until you do.
Scoring scale
@foreach(array_reverse(config('assessment.score_labels'), true) as $value => $label)
{{ $value }} {{ $label }}
@endforeach
{{ config('assessment.pass_score') }} and above is a pass.
The Previous column shows the student's last score for that procedure.
Recording a new score does not erase the old one — the full history is kept, and the
most recent attempt is the one that counts.
Assessments cannot be edited or deleted once saved. To correct a mistake, record the
procedure again with the right score — the newer entry supersedes it.
4. Clinical Performance Reports
For students assigned to you, open Clinical performance record to read the
report, then Edit report to fill in placement, attendance and remarks.
Competency figures are filled in automatically from the logbook.
- Enter total clinical days and absent days; the
attendance rate is calculated from them. If the rate you type disagrees with the day
counts, the report says so.
- List any replacement dates, one per line.
- The report can be downloaded as a PDF for signature.
5. Your profile
Students see your name, position and photo beside every assessment you record, so keeping
My Profile current makes your feedback easier to place.
